ANNEMARIE KREMER, soprano

Annemarie Kremer was born in the Netherlands, is a singer who possesses a large vocal and dramatic range. She is presently based in France and performs with opera companies and orchestras throughout Europe. This marks her US debut.

Annemarie began her studies at the Maastricht Conservatory and at the Dutch Opera Studio. Following her studies, she was contracted by State Theatre in Aachen, Germany. During her stay in Aachen, she was invited soloist with a number of  the major opera houses in Germany. After a successful start to her career, she was then invited by many of the leading opera houses throughout Europe. She made her French debut to critical acclaim as Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni in France and Belgium. This production, directed by famous film director Gérard Corbiau, was filmed live for TV5 and broadcast worldwide from 2003 to 2005. Other important engagements include Rosalinde in Fledermaus with the Czech Opera House in Prague, Micaëla in Carmen in the European Art Festival in Belgium, Germany and Holland, the lead role in Agrippina with the Combattimento Consort. With this role she obtained international acknowledgement followed by guest appearances in Budapest, Zagreb, Prague, Ljublana, Warchau and Bratislava. She also sang Agrippina at the Staats Theater Frankfurt, Germany. Giselda in I Lombardi, Mina in Aroldo, and Donna Elvira  in Don Giovanni at the Concertgebouw.

Well known in Holland, AnneMarie has often performed at the world famous ConcertGebouw Hall in Amsterdam. For Vara Television she sang in Beethoven's Tremate Empie with the Radio Kamer Orkest and Schulhoff's Flammen with the Dutch Philharmonisch Orkest. In 2006 she sang Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with Het Vlaams Radio Orkest under Belgium conductor Vincent de Kort. Annemarie has made several recordings for Brilliant Records singing repertoire of Mozart and Mendelsohn. Recently, in the spring of 2006, a DVD of Agrippina was released in which she sings the title role to rave reviews.

This season's engagements include Desdemona in Otello with Opera Rai Amsterdam, Paracha in Mavra, title role in Rusalka both with Opera Zuid, Magda in La Rondine  with Opera Rai Amsterdam.
