LAURIE BARTLETT, hair & makeup
Laurie has been in the hair and make-up industry for over 25 years but her true love is the stage. She studied voice throughout high school and attended Johnson State College in Vermont as a music major with her focus on musical theater. She also attended Gateway Playhouse summer stock theater camp in Long Island and studied at North Carolina School for the Arts.
After college she attended the Vermont College of Cosmetology and worked in Burlington while studying at Vidal Sassoon in London, apprenticed at Jingles in New York City and studied with Sebastian in Los Angeles. Deciding to settle down, she and her husband Harry moved to the Valley and opened a salon and spa in Waitsfield. Presently she is focusing her talents and efforts on wedding work with her business Leave it to Laurie (www.leaveittolaurie.com).
