MYRIAM PROVOST RIEL, stage manager

Myriam Provost Riel (stage manager), after completing her training in the Production Program at the National Theatre School of Canada, began her career as assistant stage manager for such popular musicals as Chicago and Rent presented in Montreal by the Festival Juste pour Rire. Myriam has worked as Production Manager for several theatrical companies and for Montreal festivals like  Festival du Jamais Lu and Les Journées de la culture, as well as assistant Technical Director for the Cirque Éloize. She was stage manager for the famed Cirque du Soleil in such productions as La Fina which opened the 2005 Montreal Aquatic Games and she was part of the stage management team for the Montreal Outgames in 2006.

Myriam especially enjoys the world of Opera. Since 2004, she has worked on such productions as Le Nozze di Figaro for the Faculty of Music, L'Université de Montréal , Gianni Schicchi and Le Rossignol for Le Conservatoire de Montréal, Carmen for Les Jeunesses Musicales and La Clemenza di Tito, Aida and, most recently, Lakmé for  L'Opéra de Montréal.

This is Myriam’s second time as stage manager for the Green Mountain Opera Festival. She will complete her summer at the Banff Centre for the Arts as assistant stage manager on Frobisher, a new opera by Canadian composer by John Estasio.
